You can reduce your heart disease risk by changing your lifestyle. Following are the steps you should take to reduce your heart disease risk.

  • Keep your weight under control, do not let your weight increase which put you in the list of obesity.
  • Maintain daily exercise of about 60 minutes or if not daily than at least 4 days a week.
  • If you are smoking than immediately quit it, or if not smoking than do not start smoking.
  • Control your diet, maintain low cholesterol and saturated fat.

In women, mostly plaques develops around the artery walls. This can not be treated as men treatment of angioplasty. There are some drug treatments which may be better option for treatment of this disease in women than angioplasty. These drug treatment like clot-busting drugs are found to be more effective in women in compared to this treatment in men.In woman, it is also found that aspirin therapy may also reduce the heart stroke in women then men.
