Many of us would love nothing more than to have a head full of glorious, long, healthy hair. But is it even possible to make our hair grow faster? I know that mine seems to take an age to grow when I can’t be bothered to treat it! If you’re in a hurry to grow your hair, there are a couple of techniques you can try that will not only get your hair in great condition, but the rest of you too!
Drink Plenty of Water
Water is essential for helping us to function properly in general, so naturally drinking at least 2 litres a day is good for our hair. If you’re active or it’s a fairly hot day, you may want to drink even more to make sure you don’t dehydrate.
Use a Quality Conditioner
Conditioner helps to keep our hair smooth, shiny, and in great condition. Use a quality conditioner with matching shampoo if you can. Try not to wash your hair too often though, as this can strip hair of it’s natural oils! Along with this routine, you may want to include the use of a hair oil and a hair mask once a week.
Use a Heat Defence Spray
If you use heat on your hair in the form of curling irons, hair dryers, and straighteners, it’s essential that you use a heat defence spray. If you can avoid using heat at all then do so, and you’ll notice an instant improvement in the condition of your hair.
Don’t Brush Your Hair When it’s Wet
Use a wide toothed comb to gently untangle your hair when it’s wet. Never brush your hair, as this stretches it out and pulls at it.
Take Vitamins
Vitamins can be a great help in helping you to look and feel great. One multivitamin a day can be an amazing addition to your daily routine! Learn more about the best hair growth vitamins on the market here.
Eat Lots of Protein and Veg
A healthy, balanced diet is very important. Eat as much fruit and veg as possible, along with lots of healthy protein. The more vegetables you can fit into your diet, the better!
Trim Your Split Ends
Split ends can stunt the hair’s growth and get worse if left too long. Make sure you have them trimmed off regularly so your hair can grow long, strong, and smooth. You might even find that after a good trim your hair shoots out of your head like crazy.
Go for Loose Hairstyles
Tight hairstyles like ponytails and buns can put stress on the hair by pulling it and stretching it. Try to keep these to a minimum and go for looser hairstyles instead to encourage hair growth.
If you follow this advice, I guarantee you’ll enjoy longer, stronger hair in a matter of weeks! Bare in mind that you need to be consistent to see the best results; you’re unlikely to notice much difference if you use the tips sporadically. You may notice new hair sprouting by the day if you’re consistent. Good luck!
